What length is your Dusky? Do you have a photo of you transom where you can give me an idea where the bracket will be?

Hi Tom, My Dusky is a 256CSS...I dont have a picture of the transom with the bracket yet, I just painted the sides and gunnels and its wrapped up for gelcoating the floor....I also have to build the aluminum bracket but know it will be tight...I was told by a local builder that 12 x 12 with short actuators would be ideal...Tryin to decide before I pull the trigger on ordering...I appreciate any help or direction...

12 x 12 with short actuators is what I think others have used on boats like yours with the "Dusky Drive" type brackets. They are are a little bit small but from what I have heard work well.
Do you need to order them now or can you wait until the bracket is on so I can take a look at the space available?

The Trim Tab will start at the end of the chine flat and run 12" along the bottom of the transom (red arrow). The actuator is in the middle, so it's 6" in from the end of the chine flat (blue arrow). It is perpendicular to the bottom of the transom.
If you measure where the blue arrow is along the transom, can you tell me the distance from the hull bottom to the bracket?
That will work. The actuator mounts 8-5/8" out from the transom, and is 13-3/4" overall length. It should fit. If not we came modify it to be 12-3/4" long. We have shorter actuators than that as well, but I don't think you will need them.
When you buy the kit, you can see if the standard actuators will fit, if they don't I can swap out for the shorter ones.
I definately will...Trying to find good pricing on the Part#: 1212EIC kit.....because of my Dusky build thread having over 60,000 views so far I'm getting great pricing from some vendors, LED lights electronics, and possibly motors at OEM pricing...Good advertising I guess, might have to sticker up the boat lol..
