Sportcraft 30 hardtop vs. Baha Cruisers 299 hardtop

These are two of the most common charter boats on Lake Erie. Does anyone have an idea in terms of quality and seaworthyness which boat is better? Both come in single inboards which is what I'm interested in. I've heard stories of rot in boat of these hulls in boats that were about 10 years old. Thnaks Paul

Paul you are quite correct-- Lake E is full of them---- The 15 years warranty that one of the BIG marine dealer bragged about on the Sportcraft is not worth a Damm-- now-- they are out of business and the owner have NO warranty!!! The sportcraft boat look great and will give you service however DON"T POUND THEM otherwise the screws will start popping and the deck will come loose -- The Baha had a run of bad stringers-- I personally saw two 30 ft'er that looked great!!! both spend thousands getting fixed two years ago--- Baha now uses " greenwood" in the stringers with no reported probelms-- don't know when they change but people at Happy Days can tell you.
