Default stainless marine bracket

I have a single engine stainless bracket. The prior owner went from a single engine to twins, so I picked it up for $100. The problem is t has green paint on bottom half where they had painted bottom of boat and carried pait line around lower half of bracket. What is the best way to remove paint? Could I just sand off bottom paint to get to original powder coat. Top half is still factory white powder coat. I want whole bracket to same as from factory. Any help would be great.

Sand the entire bracket down and take it to get powdercoated again. Actually, most powdercoaters sandblast the item beforehand, so maybe you don't have to do it. I'd ask about the green bottom paint........they may not want that in their vacuum system.

Good advice . . . talk to a powder coater before doing anything
