Below is a list of some 15 aluminum boat factories.
I recently went to the Seattle boat show, and I never realized how many aluminum boat factories there are in the Pacific North West, and British Colombia. I never heard of most of these factories before I went to the Seattle show. So far the 2 best boat shows I went to that show lots of aluminum boats are the Toronto show and the Seattle show. The Toronto show mostly had higher production riveted thin aluminum boats like a Lund.
The Seattle show had mostly low production factories making welded 1/4 " plate boats.
If there is any other boat show that shows lots of aluminum boats I would like to know about it.
I know there are a number of factories in Louisiana that make aluminum boats. If someone could make a listing of web sites of most of the aluminum boat factories in Louisiana I would appreciate it.
I’m very interested in aluminum boats, but here in Miami the only aluminum boats we see are custom aluminum yachts from 100’ to 150’ that start at almost $10,000,000.
It’s unfortunate that here in Miami aluminum boats get a bad rap when they are used in salt water. Nothing could be further from the truth. I had one small aluminum boat for 24 years and it was indestructible. I recently replaced it with a larger aluminum boat (19’), and in my opinion it holds up much better than my fiberglass boat.
