Optimax 2001 200hp.

I'm looking at purchasing a boat with this power package. I've searched the board and learned a lot of valuable information which of course leads to more questions...Looks like there may be an issue with powerheads blowing.

It's tuff to weed through opinions and facts and all the variables that come in to play with engines however, I'm still looking for some real world experiences with this motor. As always any information is greatly appreciated.

Have an '01 200 Opti behind my '01 Seahunt 210 CC.

She has run flawlessly for me. Great holeshot, sips fuel, no issues. I'm amazed when I think back how
much gas my old carbed Evinrude drank in comparison on my former rig (though the old Rude was also flawless).

Just make sure all updates have been done on the motor your interested in.
