Default Jarrett Bay 32

Went by the Jarret Bay plant with a friend last night and checked out the new 32 they are getting ready for the Miami show. They were still working on finishing inside the cabin, still a very impressive boat with twin 275 HP verados on the back. Word is she topped out at 51mph .Its a walkaround layout with plenty of room to walk around, a small seat up front And a massive anchor locker, looks like plenty of fishboxes etc. I think they're talking $185,000, but thats before any add ons , it'll probably be way over 200k. Anyone looking at the new large outboard powered Grady's would be making an error not to check this one out.The question is will it be finished on time , JB's not known for on time delivery.

I was at the factory very early in the build cycle. Saw the plans and the first hull and talked to a couple of folks. IMO this has to be a breakthrough design that will get copied by lots of folks. The arrangement and space is fantastic for a 32'. Naturally it has the Carolina look with lots of attention being paid to proportions and appearence.

Appears to be an easly sell to the first mate and a great family boat.

At that time they were planing a "built" interior for the first one that will become a moulded interior as soon as they work out the details.

I'm not sure about the ride quality at speed and comfort at trolling speeds but that should be easy to ascertain once the boat is available for sea trials. The hull I saw had a "pad" at the stern that extended forward about 8' to provide some lift for the heavier OBs.

If JB prices it right, they won't be able to build them fast enough!

Do you know if they have plans to make it w/ diesel inboard options? Great looking walkaround...
Thanks,
Chris

Not sure about JB's plans. I would guess no. If you're interested in a 32 with inboard power look at www.shearlineboatworks.com or www.lighteningyachts.com or if you want to start from scratch try www.acunleashed.com.

The salesman I met at the Miami Show said that they left room for inboards but had not engineered how they would "work". He said the outboard layout was easy to design and worked well. I personally felt that the boat lacked some fit and finish. This may be because the boat was only about 90% complete. I would not consider the cabin for any extended stays - it was tight and dark.

did an extensive look over today at the savannah boat show. no tower and electronics, and was around 220k asking the first think out of the saleman's was "but when you compare it to the new grady white" highly dissapointed in seeing raybud hatches on inside transom for boat of this caliber...hatches were not up to show ready example of fine fit and finish..cabin was very small (as to be expected). WOW.. talk about price shock.... otherwise seemed to be a fine ride.....but for that $$$$,
