anyone go to the boston boat show ?? - The Hull Truth

just wondering if the boston show which i think started yesterday or today is any good the info ive seen looks like its pretty big , but i thoght the hartford show was going to be good and wasnt to impressed .

I went to the Boston In-water show last fall. I wasn't impressed. Don't know how this one compares. Had a good time with the girlfriend in Beantown.
The Norwalk fall show was good.

I went Sat. with my son. Wow, can they get a lot of boats into that building! Some impressive stuff, like the Fountains. After a little while a lot of the boats start to look the same!

I got a lot of good info. on the nav. gear for my new toy.

I just got back from it. There're an awful lot of boats crammed into what seems like a too small space. It was loaded with people too.

Since I'm trying to decide among all the 28-ft. express SFs that are out there, and since there were a lot of candidates present in this genre, I thought it was a great show--except for my grandson's $5.95 chicken nuggets (four pieces!!) But I made a wrong turn coming out of the Expo center and spent 45 minutes driving around Southie--not my favorite activity.

I can't believe a 28-ft. Carolina Classic express is $200.000!!

Yeah, I went yesterday also and the show is as big as ever. New this year was the Steiger Crafts. I think the dealer was out of Conn. and he said they hadn't come up to Boston in a few years. Nice boats especially the 23'. Great 3 season looking New England fitting boat.

I cant believe how they got that Carolina Classic 28 in there. They even threw on the fly bridge. Sweeett boat though. I liked the regulator 26 fs and the albin 28 flush deck. but not the 12 dollar parking

I went to the Boston Boat show and it is a far superior show to the Hartford one. The dealers at this show take pride in what they do and it shows. Great show. It's worth a look.

Boston ain't bad . . .

if you don't have the $$$$ to go to Miami
if your last boat ride was sometime in October,
if you'd rather think of anything but shoveling snow,
if you can't wait to tear off the shrinkwrap (but you know it's still weeks away)
if you prefer the smell of new gelcoat to wet wool,
if you don't mind spending $10 just to stand on a dry-docked boat,

Then, yeah, it's not bad.
