question on older robalo

need source for information on a 1982 20 ft c.c.robalo on subject of who built the boat in 1982 with serial # RALAH at the time some say cobia took company in 1981 but i have no bilge area but does have the drian plug in botton of transom..is it a cobia hull or what...any other information on this yr model would help ...have tried without avial to contact this mr. robalo but e-mail address come back not available.wondering if he's still giving out infor...or is there some other source to information maybe this scott a. fellow...thanks everyone...

I had a 23 foot*1979 Robalo and it didn't have a bilge - foamed in hull.* Deck drained in splashwell and out drain holes.

I have a 1984 Robalo 20' cc and it is a cobia hull. 1982 was tricky since that's when cobia took things over, so it could possibly be either. However, from your description (no bilge - hole in well), it sounds exactly like my boat.

As far as Mr. Robalo, he knows all. He worked at the factory during those years. However, his back has been hurting so he can't sit at the computer. I tried to get in touch w/ him also with no luck. Try doing a search for some old threads! Maybe you can find something there.

according to NADA Robalo was built by AMF from 1970 to 1982. After 1982 they were built by Cobia until 1992, when US Marine took over.

So 1970 to 1982 AMF

1983 to 1992 Cobia
