If you have a mercury or mercruiser, then go to www.mercurymarine.com At the bottom, there is a tab that says props (or propellers). click it and go to prop selector. There are several columns to input data about your power, boat, and desired goal (speed, skiing, all around...etc). It will then suggest a few props and also suggest approximate speed with that prop.

Of course they only suggest merc props, and I ahve had a little better luck with a non-merc prop, but it got me going in the right direction.

If you would like some advice from the board, you should probably give some info like what boat, horse power, type/size prop you are turning right now (number stamped on prop if you have it), rpms your ingine is turning at WOT with your currnet prop. Chances are, someone may have already gone through the trouble of finding the correct prop with your setup and may be able to save you a few bucks on wrongf props (I have about a dozen; some I wish I never wasted my money on).
