Default mounting bracket

Great forum, first post. I have a 2004 1800 Pulse Mckee Craft. When I mounted my
transducer of course I mounted it to high. I need to lower it but I hate to drill more
holes in my transom. Is there some kind of bracket I can mount so I don't have to
keep drilling holes, I might upgrade recorders later on which will mean a new transducer.
I appreciate any help

If you will look in Cabelas, West Marine other fishing supply catalogues, you will see they sell some pieces of what I would guess are starboard or something like it to put on the transom of the boat and you can then mount the transducer on it. I'm not sure that you have to put screws in the "board" to mount it to the transom but if it can be put on with an adhesive, you should not have to put any holes in your boat. I haven't tried this, but I am sure many of the frequent posters on this site will have either done it or seen it done and can offer some real good advice.

Thank You for the relpy, I found it at Cabelas. This board is great.
There is a lot of knowledgable people out there all you have to do
is ask.
