Doeboy: I just finished my break in period today. It is on a Grady 258. I will post my impressions in a separate post in just a few minutes.

We have a pair sitting on a 31 contender at the dealer, I am hoping that the boat will be rigged and ready to go by this weekend. If so, I plan to be running them this weekend.

I've ran a set, put about 10 hrs on them. Hey they are awesome, but so are the suzuki's. I feel that the suzukis have a little more ump.

Do they require high test gas.

mike4207,

Which motor do you think is quieter, Yamaha or Suzli's 250's? On the Suzuki's the mor ump I guess refers to hole shot or top end. The f225 is lacking the power at the prop?

my zx 24 bay with the f250 should get to me in about three weeks, I cant wait. but i did have my 250 hpdi blow up last weekend 150 hours, and i have that boat sold. I guess he will get a motor with hardly any hours on it.

I'd be interested to know about the gauges that come stock with the F250's. I'm getting them on my new Intrepid 350 WA in a few months and haven't been able to find out what comes stock and what's optional. Specifically, I'm trying to find out about the fuel flow gauges.

Thanks.

3 bays,
None of the gauges are really "stock" on these boats. You are charged for them. They do not come with the motors. You (if it is not prerigged) tell them what gauges. Yamaha offers different packages such as the single gauge kit, dual gauge kit, and then they have all the seperate like the fuel management system, water pressure gauge and so on.... I rigged boats for a long time and you can hardly beat the Yamaha Fuel management System. Alot of peole would put the flo scans on and stuff but it hard to beat yamaha system.
