Looking to purchase a new 25-27 center console. has anyone seen the new hydrasports 2500cc. looked at the edgewater, the 28 mako..leaning towards the hydrasports but seem like alot of money for a 25 ft boat. any comments..

I've driven 3 of them so far. My favorite is twin 225 FS. Speeds around 60 MPH and cruise at 40. 2.5 MPG at cruise! Lots of room and the driving station is very comfortable. It has a dual livewell option which is something I wish they had implemented on the old vectors.
I also ran the boat with twin 150 four strokes and got a top speed around 51 and cruise around 35. The MPG at cruise was 2.6!
Finally, I ran the boat with a single 300 HPDI. Top speed around 45 and cruise at 30.
The bow is massive and it feels alot like the 28 center. In a tight chop the boat ran well; very dry in all directions. I did not get into any real rough stuff, but you can tell the boat has a very dry ride. The forward cooler is a frigid rigid, which will keep ice for ever it seems.
Fun boat to drive.

I've been doing a lot of research on the Hydra Sports line, and have looked through many threads on this site discussing this brand. From everything I have seen, the size range I am looking for (23-28 ft), the Hydra Sport is a great pick, but I have yet to see anything that compares the smaller Vector, to its bigger brothers. I've noted that the Vector 2400 (and all 24') have a deadrise of 21 degrees, while the larger Vectors, are all at 23 degrees. I am curious to see if there is a difference in these 2 degrees, or is it just a small detail on a smaller version of the same boat? And do the 24' boats ride differently from the shorter length, or any other reason, that would make them considerably differently from the larger models?

Just being picky, trying to get the right size the second time... and find the size that would best suit for a long ride, being that a standard fishing run could be 30 miles, one way, in my area, and maybe pushing 50.

have you seen the new 2500c...
Yes, I've seen it... It's posted on their website, and such, and looks like an excellant boat. But, I'm just curious to see the difference between the two variances of hulls, in terms of the rides, considering the deadrise of the models. Just a small question now, won't really become an issue until I'm actually trying to find the right size... still only narrowing the field.

Whatever you decide on, and Hydra-Sports is a good chice. Take it for a sea trial, but be sure to bring a hand held gps. That will give you the real WOT Speed as well as cruise speed.
