1993 Yamaha 225 vs. 2005 Yamaha 200 OX66 I will probably be replacing my 1993 Yamaha 225 with a 2005 Yamaha 200 OX66 EFI. The 225 OX66 is being discontinued, and the 200 is the largest non-HPDI 2 stroke Yamaha makes. The dealer and my mechanic both told me that I may lose 1-3 mph on my top end w/ the 200 (which would be acceptable) but should get better fuel economy, primarily b/c the 200 is a newer engine and is EFI. What does everyone think of the 225 vs. 200? I believe that the 200 and 225 shared the same powerhead, but what kind of differences can I expect? BTW, the 4 stroke is not an option b/c of weight and price, and I don't want an HPDI. |
