Default Pursuit 3480

I looked over the new Pursuit 3480 center console at the NY Boat Show. It is quite a departure from their usual products, much more of a serious offshore fishing boat and less for dock-sitters. The display boat had twin 275 Verados and as much bow flare as a 32 Regulator, which in fact the hull resembles so closely that from a distance it would be easy to mistake it for one. It had some other nice touches like rod holders on the sides of the console with a Keys-style cutout in the T-top.

Probably should be on the list for the high-end mega-center console buyer.

I also saw a genuine Yamaha 250 four stroke in person, not just an F225 with a cowling swap. So they really do exist.

Quite possibly Pursuit's deepest v yet at 24.5*.

Here's one priced at $161k:

looks like a serious fish boat - too serious for me - would need some type of rear aft bench, forward seating option and windlass...do they offer those?

Forward seating looks like an option:

But an aft bench seat doesn't look feasible:

Didn't see a windlass listed as an option.

very nice - looked at persuits and was very impressed with their fit and finish...would have to get those 300's off the back and go with 275 Verados or the new F250's...

Although I was not sure at first - I really like the forward seating on my new wellcraft 32 - it collapses nto the sides on the boat and does not rattle or bang - very well made. When you got the family on board it looks like this with the cushions...

Just saw the review in Sportfishing Magazine.

They had nothing but positive comments in every respect and the seas were not kind that day.

I saw the boat at the NY show...

I did have nice lines, and Pursuit makes a quality product .... but look at the deck???

Don't drop anything and I sure wouldn't want to clean that deck after a hard day fishing.

I hear ya and agree. But I have seen them beat up some of the boats and usually they pick on one or two things. I was just surprised there were no negative comments at all. I really want to see that hull up close.

Seems like a lot of voids around the cockpit sole hatches, would like to see it more seamlessly finished. Also no toe rails?

RMM, take a very close look, the deck has moulded in drainage system, everything runs thru channels so it drains well. Good engineering.

As far as the deck Pursuit has always had very pronounced non slip decks. As a full all out fishing rig, which gets water on the deck all the time, you won't go down, it also provides excellent drainage. To clean the channels it looks like you just have to raise the hatches.
I have never had a problem cleaning the pursuit non slip. It's just hell on your knees.

Been on a non forward seater here and I must tell you that is
a awesome looking boat. Had it sitting next to a 3070 and
that 3070 does not even compare. No power as of yet on the
one here. The only ting that was off was the skinny hard top
that was on it. Didnt care for that.

looks great but....... that deck/hatches are terrible to clean. If you meat fish forget it. imagine digging out chunks of chum after a shark trip. can it be rigged with triples? if not it can't compete with yellowfin, seevee etc.....Sportfishing Magazine? come on man, would they ever say a bad word about a big advertising client?

Nice looking rig. The amount of hatches/storage is amazing. Thanks for the pics. I am curious about the most forward hatch, doesn't look like it can open with the forward seats. What does that hatch open to?

Ok, let me get this right. If it can't go as fast as YF or SeaVee and does not burn the maximum amount of fuel it can't compete. I thought these were fishing boats . I had no idea in all my years of fishing (tourmaments included) that the fastest boat always came out on top. How could I have missed this . I value the knowledge of the captain and crew, type of baits, location to fish and other factors much more than who has the fastest boat. Now, if you are talking racing that's another story.

Every thing said about the pursuit 3480 I also had conserns with but I bought one anyway.

I am powering with yamaha 250 4 strokes, my biggest conserns were the stern seating and the

deck cleaning, my stearn seat will be a icytec 48" cooler, and I hope I allway have a problem

cleaning fish guts off the deck, should be in the water in about 2 weeks will report back then.
