Random Quote: I'm not always right, but I am rarely wrong!!!!
Now I am not able to be in the market for one of these fine crafts, however visiting the inlaws in stuart, FL over Thanksgiving weekend I drove past a 34 Venture sitting on the side of the road in a parking lot, next to it was another Venture that absolutely dwarfed the 34!! Well being a boat junkie I had to have a closer look. I pulled in and looked at this massive 39, WOW now that is a big center console!!!
I wanted to climb up in her and really look around but it was soooo clean and pretty (and I can't buy it) so I decided not to get my footprints all over her, but man I was speachless!! I looked around it, and glanced at the interior and this thing was absolutely beautiful!
Thumbs up to Venture for making such a beautiful boat!
I got on this boat at the Lauderdale show. This is an awesome fishing platform with a wide beam and large pit. Jupiter should be scared. The f&f on this boat was flawless. Saw it with the 250 Verado.s. Wow, If you can afford this boat , it is the best c.c. over 35'.
I know exactly the spot those boats you are talking about is. A few weeks ago there was a 39 sitting there with triple 275 Verados fully rigged. Hopefully evryone with a 34 will sell for cheap so i can have one now. Come on guys, you gotta keep up and get the 39! Your 34 is small now and noone wants them!
I saw that also! The 34 looked real small next to the 39. I guess that place is a dealer? That 39' is huge!
it's scott henely's office - he is the a venture delaer covering north of palm beach inlet. that one w/ the verados was the one form the ft lauderdal boat show - still needs rigging, the motors were just hanging there.
However, the first thing I noticed in the pictures it looked small for a "39 Footer".
When checking the specs, it seems that Venture is one of the many builders that over-states their vessel lengths.... It is more like a 36 footer. Still a nice boat though......just a pet peeve of mine about length. I hate it when builders will include the euro-transoms, or the bow pulpits in their stated length, instead of just LOA. I realize WHY they do it......just not honest IMHO.
If anything you might be able to say its a 38 not 39 ft boat. Most euros are around 1.5 ft and at 39' 6" its still close to its size. Anyways its a heck of a boat, but wish they had a diesel option in it.
But if it runs like a 34 in a bad following sea, I wouldn,t go near it.
Looks its got ! construction is great, but if they ever get around to overall great performance. then they might be worth that ridiculous price tag!!!!!!
Plus If there was ever a company that should think hard before putting a number on the size of their vessels !
TIGHT LINES AND GREAT FISHING CAN ONLY LIE AHEAD!!!!!!!
The just keep making them bigger. Outstanding. Having said that, what is the largest made CC with outboards? I don't recall seeing a larger CC boat with outboards. One ofs don't count; near production boats only.

If a boat company is going to advertise the wrong length it should be advertising a smaller size for a truly larger boat. Not the other way around!
I ran a 36 contender that truly measured larger than 36,and I presently run a 34 yellowfin that also truly measures more than 34. Just an observation on the size thing.
Different boats for different people.
If you like alot of fluff and you have big pockets you buy a venture.
If you want performance you buy a contender, fountain or yellowfin!
JUST MY THOUGHTS!
i,M ENTITLED AS WELL AS YOU OR THE NEXT GUY!

My 36 contender includes the euro transom in it's measurement. Most do.It's part of the running length.I do have a problem with counting a bow pulpit though. As to the 39 Venture,I've been in it.It is a huge and beautiful boat.
True, most do. But most Contenders don't. The 23T is 25, The 25 is 28 overall. 27 is close to 30. 31 I am guessing is 33 or so. I am actually suprised the 36 is measured overall at 36, it looks huge compared to a 31. Contender seemed to always be true to not including the bracket in overall, does the 36 have a running surface to the transom or a integral bracket like all the other Contenders?
I have the priveledge of fishing on a 34 half dozen times a year, some sweet rig... I'll be driving by where those boats are sitting all the time for 4 months starting soon, drooling I am certain...
I am as anxious to see the new Contender 36 Fish Around.
Drppin $300K on one of these is no problem for me..... In fact the first one to give me $250k trade on my Grady will get my business too!
I have been looking at the Ventures for some time now. The guy that started Venture came over I believe from Jupiter a few years ago. If you look at the boats the hull lines are very similar. I was really impressed with the overall finish of the Ventures. Very nicely put together boats. Its interesting to me that you don't see many of them offered for resale anywhere. There are a few but not that many to speak of. The tower options available on the Ventures are a really nice addition as well. Just my opinion!!!
