Default Triton boats

Hey guys! I'm thinking of purchasing a 2002 23 ft Triton WA. Don't know too much about Triton boats. This boat comes with a Yamaha 225 4S, radar, full enclosure but no trailer. Asking price is 38,900. I do most of my fishing in LI Sound. Any info would be great.

I have a 2690WA its Great! They make a fantastic boat never had an issue with mine. As with all W/A drift fishing will limit how many you can fish.

I visited the factory in 2001. They built a good solid boat, well designed and well put together. The only drawback is they went out of business a couple of years ago so there is no longer any factory support. But there are a lot of the boats around. I'd go for it.

I had a 240 lts and now a 261 CC they are great boats, seem well built. get a survey and if it checks out then go for it. They did not go aout of business. they were bought out and the factory has moved from TN. I can't remember the name of the new parent company. Warranty work has not been a problem.

Thanks for all the replies. Its good to know that experienced boaters have all said good things about this boat. I will be taking a look at it tomorrow (4/2) and will definitely keep these posts in mind. And if I do decide to get it, I will post pics to show it off.

I own a big sister. I doubt you could go wrong with that purchase. Just kim that Triton is sort of out of the salt water business. They don't seem to have a game plan yet.

You are buying an orphan boat so bid accordingly.

Nice boats - price seems high though- there was a beauty 2003 23 WA listed down here (Sarasota) with the same Yahama, 200 hours, absolute cherry condition, for 23,500. Maybe prices are lower here than in LI. We sea trialed the one here, but cabin was too small for family and the 20 degree deadrise wasn't enough for us (ended up with a 26' cat instead). But very nice little boat, IMO.

I'm not sure how the WA rides but I know they make a solid boat. We have a 351cc that is tuff as nails. We have had it in some nasty weather and it always gets us home. All in all they make a good solid boat.

very well built boats. I just sold a 22 LTS and the construction of that boat was fantastic.

i think what tvbx was trying to say is that ranger isn't building the deep v tritons any longer. look at the site and you'll notice that it only has LTS models for 2011, no big cc boats at all
