Well I finally took the plunge and picked up my new 175 sportfish yesterday. Thanks to all who helped me with an earlier post about engine size for the boat. I went with the 4 stroke 90. Took it out yesterday for a quick shakedown. No water through the scuppers. I can't wait to go chase some stripers next week. Thanks again for all the help. Sincerely, Greg
Congrats Greg! Hope you enjoy it. Just bought a 242 3 weeks ago and finally took it out for the first time last week. Had a great time! Willow, where do you live?
OK, I just joined BOTH clubs now. This site has been a wealth of info. Now onto the electonics forum for gps/sounder info. Don't need anything too fancy.
I purchased my boat in Santa Cruz, California. They treated me well.
bought my Abaco 242, 2003 demo, Fighting Lady Yellow w 15 hrs from Downtown in Baltimore for the Chesapeake Bay. Had it delivered winterized since I still have my 20 Proline WA in slip and only about 2 wks left in my season, but it is killing me. Its gonna be an early spring for me , I can tell you that!
