there's an article in power and motoryacht saying that they think he bought hull #26. they are making a new one every 6 months.

Twenty mil ain't no mountain for a high stepper!
He doesn't have to play many tournaments anymore with the endorsement deals he has. He only won twice this year, if I remember right, and is still fourth on the money list. He doesn't play half as many tournaments as the #1 player and is still winning tons of money. I wish I was "washed up" like he is!

I can't believe he still got a boat that big AFTER he got married.

Crips with a tug like that it is obvious that Tiger has no sense of adventure. A true boating enthusiast has to have the wind in the face, the spray across his brow, the sun on his back and the ability to feel at least a 3-4 ft. wave.

I'd sure like to have his money problems,

but I definitely don't want his back problems.

except his Base salery is 60 mil a year from endorsements!!!!!

I don't se the $50 million in damages. If the Christensen yacht has been rendered unusable for Woods because the builder breached the confidentiality agreement, why not just cancel the deal and anonymously purchase another yacht from someone else who understands discretion?

...because Christensen will be able to sell more yachts by telling people Tiger Woods bought one. Woods' legitimate position is that they are making money off his name and not paying him for the right to do so.

He has built a great reputation and "persona" and that is worth about 60MM per year in endorsements. If Amex and Buick pay for using his name, so should Christensen. Or so the argument goes.

I actually agree with him on this one. We piss and moan how easy guys like him have it, but think about it for a minute: how would you like to NEVER have the opportunity to simply walk into a tackle shop, convenience store or Lowe's again? I would suspect his privacy is his second most prized commodity.

The M/Y PRIVACY was purshased as a wedding present for his wife, and yes it is the one which he went on his honeymoon on. Christiansen will also have to settle the lawsuit if he has a privacy clause of not releasing his name.

Tiger is also an enthusiastic scuba diver in addition to being a golfer in his spare time!

A couple of years ago he took up technical diving and is regularly spotted here in Florida diving the caves in the Ocala area. During the one interview I saw him do after his wedding he mentioned that they were doing a lot of diving -- though that could mean a couple of things!

Lets not forget, before he was famous all he wanted to be was FAMOUS. I am sure he values his Privacy, but lets not forget if he wasn't famous and people didn't want to see him, he would just be another guy playing golf on the weekends. Being famous is what pays his bills.

I heard about the law suit last week or so. I agree that the yacht maker should have followed the rules of the agreement they signed beforehand (they are stupid by not). A cease and desist(?) and maybe a little something else (like lots of pressure) should suffice. Let's face it, the press they are getting now is not helping their reputation as it sounds like they signed an agreement with Tiger and now are not sticking to it - not sure that sounds like the custom yacht maker I want to deal with!!!

In the end, if Tiger does anything to put a financial burden on them that causes them to close or go in bankruptcy, he will go on my !@#$ list as there will go hundreds of jobs, etc. all because Tiger got pissed about someone using his name. He is obviously allowed to and should defend the rights to his name but let's not take this too far. Hopefully this can be resolved without demise to the yacht maker.

Wild Lines, You cannot make the statement that "all he wanted was to be famous." You simply do not know it to be true. I'll take the opposite side of the coin and say all he wanted was to be the best golfer of all time. I don't think you can rise to his level by simply wanting to be famous......

And Rammbo, if anyone should be on the shi* list for possibly driving a company into bankruptcy and eliminating jobs, don't you think it should be the people at the company [probably the owners] who decided to breach the terms of the contract? Why blame a guy for holding someone accuntable for their actions?
