29 years ago today in fact was the ill-fated last trip of the Edmund Fitzgerald. It was before my day but growing up in Michigan it's always been very interesting to me.

The sad fait of the Fitzgerald is never far from my mind. I'm sure its on the minds of the crew of the freighter that is currently passing infront of my house, since we currently have Gale Warnings in effect for the northern Great Lakes.
