It's not mine but my brothers; but until I saw and used his I thought they were waayyyy over priced. However, after having used it I now think they are priced correctly, expensive but good.
Jim,
I have a 125 qt cooler bought a year ago, very heavy and a bit pricy.
Holds ice well and should last. Are you thinking of building a simular type
here in the states?
Got to be out ya mind to spend that much money on a cooler. My wife says I have a cooler fetish and I could not bring my self to spend that much money on a cooler. The ad says it will hold ice for 9 days in warm temps. What they don't say is that it was probably filled to the top with block ice and never opened for that period of time. You could spend arond that much money for as refubished ice machine and not have to worry about ice again.
I like mine, built like a rock and it will keep ice way longer than a regular cooler. No way can you buy an ice machine for $200 plus the electricity will eat you up.
I thought they were over priced too..............until I used my buddies which kept 3 buckets of chum frozen for over a week in 90+ degree weather. I was impressed to say the least.
Jim, they are a great mid priced coolers. I have two of em, a 95qt long and a small 40qt. They will keep ice a lot longer than my Igloo or my Colemans.

RE: do you like your icey tek cooler?
I have one of those big 6 ft long units as well two smaller Igloo (high end coolers) . . . the big Icey TeK unit is great . . . I put two 40 lb bags in day one and add 40 lbs of cubes on nthe days I fished after that . . . caught an average of 3 YFT plus a couple of dorito per day and never ran out of ice . . . impressed by the quality and easy to clean
I got one this year and it isn't any better than my regular coleman ice chest. 3 bags of ice and some drinks still won't last a full day in the sun and that is using it as the reserve cooler which doesn't get opened till after dark! Had to do over I wouldn't have bought it.
They are great coolers and will hold ice, even crushed and cubed for days. Much longer than the Igloos and Colemans ever will. The question then becomes; Do you ever need ice to last for that long? As a day trip boater my answer is no, I dump enough ice at the end of the day with my igloo as it is now, even if I ice up the night before. The extra cost wouldn't buy me any benefit.
If you go on extended trips it would be a good choice.
