Ficht Tilt problem

One of my motors is stuck driving tilt down, pump runs continuously. When you press tilt up the pump cuts out. Obviously a relay problem. I didn't have time to chase it tonight, but can someone tell me where the relays are located and if they are available from auto-part outlets.

If the trim runs continuously, chances are it is not a relay problem but a shorted trim switch. It is very common for the forward trim switch in a bass boat to short out from water intrusion. Those extra switches are put in and wired up by the boat manufacturer and usually do not have the quality and moisture integrity of an OEM switch assembly.

On a FICHT, the relays are under the black cover on the stb. side power distribution panel. The 2 most forward relays are for the trim and the upper one is for up and the lower one for down.

Thanks for the assist. I finally found the problem this morning: The tilt switched mounted on the motor was shorted out. Took a few minutes and $40 to replace it.
