Default Inflateable on Parker 2520xl?

I know there are a good number of people here who have Parker 2520xl's or similar and was just wondering how many of you have either an inflateable or other landing craft and where or how you keep it when not in use?

Default RE: Inflateable on Parker 2520xl?

Hi Jacobi,
We have a 2120SC and carry our 8'6" inflatable on our cabin top.I modified the boat by removing rocket launchers(we don't fish) and also changed the anchor light to one with more height and moved it to one side so I could leave the inflatable on top while running at night. You will probably not have to do much to your boat because your top is much larger then ours.We put a cover on our inflatable then lash it down with webbed straps from one handle to the other. With the cover on the inflatable we store our westsuits, fins, snorkle mask, and outboard and misc wet stuff.I'm not crazy about the way the inflatable looks on top of the cabin but it is better then inflating/de-flating when we need it.My wife and I can pull the inflatable over the bow rail and set it on top of the V birth then lift and slide it onto the cabin top.I have put it up there by myself but it is easier with two sets of hands.Good luck and let me know what you come up with.
Your 2520XL is one sweet boat

I am planning on getting one in the off-season. I thought I would tow it when when underway. I can store it next to my boat as the slip has enough space.

PS: I love the boat. I think it rides as well as any 25' boat out there (all mono hulls that size pound some). The worse the conditions, the more impressed I have been with it. It's a great boat for fishing and weekend cruising.

Another alternative might be to buy one of the roll-up inflatables on the market. They stow easily out of the way. Add a small bracket on the transom for the motor and you're good to go!
