that depends on what you're looking for in a cc boat - speed? fishing features? creature comforts? ride? rigging options? size? be more specific and you may generate a very active thread!
What is the best CC for fishing offshore more than 30 miles and why.

Mark - c'mon - are you underage? no disrespect but that question sounds like it - do a search and narrow your question - 75% of all the comments on this board answer your question....
Fair comment, As you know I fish an Al Dhaen Wavebreaker 360SF CC with twin 250 HP Yamaha Saltwater Series II (said Oceanpro in earlier thread, had a time wharp to my previous engines which were Johnson 250's (absolute crap engines always blowing power heads, gear box's etc).
From your comments on this forum, I have found out that is was sold in the states as a Dakota 360 SF CC ( I think), have has the boat for nearly 5 years, and it is my pride and joy am very happy with the boat, and have customised it to a silly level really (but hell, it's only money. My wife would only have spent it on something stupid, like food or clothes or something).
I am very interested in discovering new boats and electronics on this forum that I may not have heard of living n the middle east and being a brit not an american. I was recently directed to See Vee by a guy on this site, had previously never heard of the company and am very imressed with there boats and attention to fishing detail.
Here's what you ideally need to fish in the arabian gulf out of Dubai, we fish for Sail fish, and the fishing grounds are about 25-30 miles off-shore, so you need some good speed 40-45 knots is great, we have a very short chop here with the wind right on the nose (going out) 95% of the time, so you need a good deep V design to break through the waves ( sea state i3 usually 3-5 feet as the season is in the middle of our winter).
The best technique to catch sail fish here is to livebait sardines ( so you must have a good live bait well), we can have bad fog here in the mornings so a good radar is a must, and the bottom of the gulf is only about 120 feet deep and very flat, so the fish swim around from one area to another, so finding the fish can sometimes be difficult, hence my interest in bird radar (which I have no experience in using).
The boat must have a toilet, as the women like to come out every now and again, and a cuddy cabin is good to get out of the sun when it gets to hot, the boat must have good range at least 200 miles.
Above is the main criteria for a good boat for these waters, engine reliability is a given.
Any recommendations would be welcome, I guess I am starting to look for my next boat, so really I want a bigger boat than 36 ft.
A boat that can run fast in big seas, is dry, has a lot of fising room, a lot of storage/fish box capacity, big livewells, solid construction, guttered fishboxes and decks to channel water out ofth boat, and 3-piece construction. Basically a 36 Yellowfin a 34 Sea Vee (especially with diesels, that boat will out perform any CC on the market today when it gets rough), or the new Fountain 38 open coming out in February.
