Default Bull Shark caught in central Louisiana

Don't go in the water! It was caught about 120 miles from the Gulf.

in south africa they would have shark attacks (usually tiger sharks) 100's of miles from the ocean in freshwater rivers.

It isn't too unusual, in fact there are land-locked lakes (Lake Nicaragua) where Bulls live year round in fresh water. The record distance in the U.S for a Bull is all the way into Illinois, ... I think it was 1600 miles from the Gulf!!

The San Juan River which starts in Lake Nicargua is chock full of bull sharks. When ferry boats on the lake sink, due to overcrowding, the sharks have a feast. Nothing unusual about this shark, except it was dead, which means it probably drowned in the netting.

I remember hearing about a shark attack in St. Louis back many years ago...I don't think that shark died cause it was in fresh water, either...
