Default F225 Oil Leakage

I have a 2002 F225 on a 25' XL Parker with just 125 hours. Ocassionally, I have a small residual amount of what appears to be oil or an oil water mix accumalate at the front right corner of the engine pan (when the engine is left in the titlted up position). Sometimes there is enough to drip through the weephole and leave a small stain on my engine bracket. The problem seems to occur after a thourough fresh water flush and only when the engine is tilted. I tried to trace the run of oil but it is so slight it is hard to see where the source is. It definately is coming from the mid to rear part of the engine block along the right side of the engine as you face it. I recently had the motor in for other service and had them check for a leak and they found none. Not losing enough oil to be noticable when I check the dipstick. I am wondering if the engine rinsing process is causing the problem. Any one have any insight or similar experience as to where the oil may be coming from? Otherwise the engine has run fine accept for a problem with the vapor vacum separator which was fixed under warranty.

Default RE: F225 Oil Leakage

Aftier an oil change, my 225-4 will drip a few drops when tilted all the way up. It's almost impossible to change the filter w/o spilling some oil in the pan. Take some "Greased Lightening", Simple Green, or your favorite oil clean-up product, and apply liberally. I'll bet your leak will disappear.

You might be overfilling it with oil and it is coming out of the dip stick or someplace while tilted up. I have been told not to over fill it when changing the oil. Instead put enough in there that it measures somewhere towards the middle or upper half of the low and full marks on the dip stick.

I've noticed the same thing on my 225 Yam.It's only about a teaspoon of oil so I haven't worried about it.Leftover from the last oil filter change is good for now!!!
