Dual throttle/shift Control Recommendation Needed

I have a 88 Regal with twin 350 Merc I/O's and the dual Quicksilver (no model number) throttle/shift controls are in bad shape and are difficult to move. Can anyone provide a recommendation for a good replacement unit? Preferably one that would utilize the existing Merc OEM cables? I've seen on the used market Merc Binacle and Morse MT-2 dual controls and would like to know if they are good units and also if they will work with the existing cables. Anyone have a unit to sell? Any advice is much appreciated.

have you disconnected the cables to see if the problem is indeed the binnacle. The problem could be in the cables or linkage, verify before spending money. Tex

The current control are not Binnacles and one of the handles is broken so I thought I might as well replace the entire unit. Good advice on checking the cables....I'll do that tonight.
