Default Twin yami's (4-strokes) or twin suzukis (4-strokes)????

Which is a better motor---twin yamaha f225 (4-strokes) or twin suzuki DF250 (4-strokes)? why?

if you do a search you will see that his has been beaten to death already several times. Basically, the bottom line comes to which ever you can get the best service from as they are both top notch motors. might want to even consider Honda in the mix.

I agree with post above. Around here there is no real Suzuki Service, but there is a top notch Mechanic for Yamaha locally. My fishing buddy has twin F225 Yama's with almost 200 hours on them. They have been great...Good Luck

DF250s will cost you less and give you more power. The Yams may have a slight advantage in economy. Service may be the biggest factor...if you've got Suzuki or Johnson service nearby, you can get the Zukes serviced.

Twin Suzukis by far the better engine, later design by a few years, larger cubic capacity, longer life > they dont have to work as hard over the long term(no substitute for ccs) particularly on boats which are under load more than vehicles.

The Suzukis have won heaps of IMTEC and other awards-

I have a Yammy now but my next boat it will be a Suzuki with its technically advanced features!
