Arrow options for a +/-30hp tiller 15" shaft outboard

I am looking for a new outboard for my 16ft jon boat. I know this won't interest many here. Those that can offer opinions or suggestions please chime in. I need a tiller, short shaft (15"), electric start motor in the 30hp range. I would prefer a 2 stroke but will consider 4 strokes. the lighter the better. I would prefer power trim. I am not interested in an aftermarket trim unit. If it has to be manual I will deal with it. I would like to find a quality motor new or in very good condition with a tiller installed. From searching it appears tohatsu/nissan, etec or finding a remaining yamaha 25hp 2 stroke may be some of my only options. The boat is used for pleasure in coastal creeks, flounder gigging and duck hunting. 25hp would be the minimum I would consider, 50hp the maximum. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Go to Microskiff.com and post your query there. Lots of small motor users and the site did a pretty good across the boards comparison review within the past 12 months on that size motor.

If you look at new it might be cheaper to buy a boat with motor. You'll never recover cost of a new motor...

Spend some time on the merc, honda, yamaha site (probably others) and in 20, 25, 30 hp they all have long and short shafts. Tiller vs. remote. Power tilt vs not. It takes some searching to understand the model numbers as to what applies to what.. but it can be done (I did it for Merc a couple years ago... don't have the codes handy).

I probably will call but can a 25 or 30 hp outboard (merc/honda/yammy) be shipped at those prices (plus shipping)?

I'm looking to get one in short shaft, remote, and power tilt.
