Default Contender 23t or 25?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a used Contender in the 25 to 28 foot range. I'm leaning toward the 23t because It seems like the used 25s only come with 200 HPDIs. I prefer the twin f150s that are usually found on the 23t. I plan on doing both trolling and drift fishing off of Islamorada. The specs indicate that there is a difference of 500 lbs. and 4 inches of beam and three feet of length between the two boats. I plan on trailering the boat, and I think the 23t is better suited for this.

I've fished on a 25 and a 23 but not on a 23t. While drifting, the amount of snap roll from side to side on the 25 was tolerable, but the 23 was unbearable . The 23 is almost 2000 pounds lighter than the 25, but the 23t is only 500 pounds lighter. I think this has to do with length and the fact that the 23t is a 3 piece and the 23 a 2 piece.

My question (and also a concern) is if there is a big difference with respect to the amount of snap roll between the 25 and the 23t? Is there a significant difference between the two boats?

Your advice and comments are greatly appreciated

have had both and still fish on a 25 sometimes when drifting i don't notice that much of a difference if any. Don't rule out a 23t with the twin 200's great mpg and power when you want it, i enjoy my 23t and the wife likes the size for just the two of us but i'm thinking of moving up to a 27

I think the 23T has the new designed hull? I have had mine for 6 weeks and really really like it - I have owned a 21 Contender and fish a 33T quite a bit. A big consideration for me was my tow vehicle (2008 GMC 1500 ) - after towning the boat 8 hrs (Al to TX) I really wouldn't want to tow anything bigger with my current truck. It tows it no problem but you def know it's back there.. as far as the rolling goes my 21 was pretty bad but the 23T (so far) has not been very noticable
