Default How to Paint a freshwater boat

I have been reading alot of tread here and have not come across any thing that really fits my situation. My fiberglass money pit is ran in the ocean in southern California once a month but spends most of its time in the local lakes. I keep it on a trailer in the garage. Im not really concerned with paint properties and preventing build up. I simply want to paint this this for cosmetic purposes. What is my best option that will fit this kind of use? What kinds of paints should I be looking at?. A friend of mine are going to end up painting this our selfs. Can anyone point me in the right direction with this.

For cosmetic purposes you'll have a lot of choices with a glossy topcoat. Awlgrip is a popular brand. There are also hard finish antifouling paints like Pettit Vivid that are supposed to give a cosmetic finish while also protecting against bottom growth, without losing too much effectiveness while out of the water.

Google turned up a THT thread from the spring about this, which probably has useful info.
