I saw this on the US auction site (see below link). That must have hurt. It appears that the leaning post was ripped from the floor and the console seat ripped from its hinges.
My guess is that the marine insurance claims adjuster has already determined that this boat is a total loss. That means, it will take more money to fix then it would cost to purchase a similar, but undamaged boat on the open market.
Vessel sustained major structural impact damage from hitting sea wall at high speed. Bow is heavily damaged and broken through into the cabin area all the way from the keel to the gunwales on both sides, gunwale is cracked on both sides. Hull from amidships back is in good condition. Center console and T-top pulled the center section of deck floor up and crashed forward, bending the front edge of the T-top and damaging all console wiring. Leaning post is missing and not included. Mercury outboards are reportedly seized, cowlings have been re painted. Trailer in pictures is not included.
CGRAND, I know the story.* Two guys from the Jupiter area were racing home when they came up behind a large boat with a big wake.* One went to the right and the other went left.* Apparently, there wasn't enough room on one side of the large boat to ride out the wakes completely and turn away from the seawall.* As a result, the operator turned the boat while crossing the large wake and airborn.* The boat flipped and tossed the operator and a passenger out--fortunately.* The swimmers were injured, but not badly, well, not as badly as the boat.See, I always thought those 25s were squirley.
