Quiet afternoon here, David. Needed a little "catalog reading matter" for the old two-holer.

Well, if you trash your lower unit on a submerged tree, you DO know who will buy it and resell it as new!

Default Mike at 1 Outboard

I bought a motor from Mike and Mike in 2005. The motor was a rebuilt Johnson 115 Jet. The motor is still on my boat today and rocking.... Thanks Mike and Mike!!

It's easy for a few negative experiences to get talked about, even though there might be hundreds of positives...

Just saying mine was a great experience!!

The odds would dictate that there would have to be a satisfied customer once in a while. The whole first poster thing is a bit suspicious though. That comment was so important that it compelled you to register and post?

Thumbs up 1outboard

My experience with them was nothing but positive. We spoke over the 'phone, made arrangements suited to us both, and I trailered my boat from eastern Va to Butler, Pa. Off with the old and on with the new, all adjustments made, some changes done (like the installation of oil inject with no charge) and back on the road in less than 4 hours. It's been running great for 3 years. I would have no hesitation - should the need arise- to deal with Mike and 1outboard again. Of course, now, it would be a H*** of a road trip from Florida!. Ed.V.

Default www.oneoutboard.com fraud scam

That is great for you guys and I can say with certainty that there is nothing i would want more than to have the same experience. My unfortunate reality is that these clowns did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to my motor other than reassembly and replace an exhaust plate. They cost me over $6000 plus the cost of removing the motor 3 times in 15 hours. All said well over $10,000

I sent two emails to mike asking for a refund and even offering to print a retraction on this site as well as surrender my blocks and heads to him. I never even got a reply.

They didnt even hone the cylinders!!! Every single cylinder had scoring and the heads were all loaded with sludge which would be impossible afer 9 hrs of run timet. I have pics of my motor before it was sent out and it you look at the valves and the corrosion and rust spots they are identical.. They didnt do a damn thing other than throw a few new gaskets on and ship it back. That would explain why after 9 hours of run time I have spent $12,000 for a new blaock, heads, mid section inspection and new gaskets etc...

"coming soon" investigative report by team 4 pittsburgh, a possible law suit by the pennsylvania atty general tom corbett, launch of my new website www.oneoutboard.net and of course a lawsuit for over $25,000 which is what they have cost me plus what i have spent fixing their non existent workmanship

I have already been instrumental in having the blackbird indsutries account with yamaha pulled or should i say pulled shortly.

Mike had a choice when the scam was up and that was to refund me and walk away.. I will make it my new hobby to insure that as many people as possible know about these scumbags. I WILL cost them dozens if not hundreds of transactions and enjoy every minute of it providing not specultation or hearsay, but simple FACT........

They screwed the wrong guy. I have the resolve, connections, money and time to cost them ten fold or more what they cost me.

If you have had a similar experience please email me at fraud@oneoutboard.net

Don't get me wrong I think they are capable of boring a carburated 2 stroke, throwing in some wiesco pistons, rebuilding the carbs and shipping it out with new paint. I feel that nearly any semi competent mechanic can do that. Modern 4 strokes? Completely different story. It would be IMPOSSIBLE for them to do what they state on their website and make any money. The only thing that is left is shortcuts and it is blatantly obvious that they took EVERY shortcut possible with my motor.

Enjoy a few pics and keep in mind that this is 9 hrs since their CLAIMED remanufacture running it exactly as prescribed by the Yamaha service buletin. Diamond hone? New Pistons, rings, valves, guides, thermostats, anodes, main bearings, recalibrated fuel injection??? Ya sure and I have a bridge in brooklyn to sell for a dollar

http://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-...cylinders.html

These guys didnt even change my thermostats!!!!!

I wish i was bragging about them on this site but sadly that is not the case!
