I want to get a bean bag that my 7 month old son can lay/sit on while the boat is under way. Can anyone tell me where to get one? I can't find them anywhere....
Contact Pat Bennet (813)624-6008 I ordered two of his medium size bags that ended up being a little big for my boat. Sold them to a friend and orderd two more small ones. These bags are nice and well made.

Tuna, not you abilities, it is always some other JA. This past weekend, a large boat pulled out in front a friend. The larger boat was manned by some kids and a dog. The manuevers my friend had to pull and the wake, made his 14 year old lose grip on the rail. The kid now has a broken arm in three places.
How about secruing a child car seat that is securely lashed down?
What do you all use for infants and little kids? It is a PITA to have to hold him constantly while underway. My wife usually sits on the floor of the cockpit with him in between her legs but it would be a lot more comfortable with a bean bag.
He could suffocate on our couch at home too but we don't leave him there by himself.....
Just double a thick towel over the vinyl to make it breathable when he is on his belly, and less sticky against his skin. Go with the $12 cheapy, and take 1/3 of the beans out.
I'd want it waterproof after he had his milk, more than for a minor splash or two from the ocean.
I don't know how much room you have, but when our kids were small we used a small portable play pen. The one we had would fold up into a small package that was easy to carry and store. Had plenty of padding and if they got knocked around it was just like being in a little wrestling ring, they actually had a good time just falling around in it. It also had a top on it for shade.
Hope this helps.

NEVER EVER secure a child to the boat in ANY manner. All the PFD's in the world wont do jack squat if the boat sinks with the kid attached....
I used to use the vinyl bean bags but I got tired of sitting up and it still being stuck to my back. I just had two oversized bags made with sunbrella covers. I had them fabricated with handles so that I could tie them off when running so that they would not blow away and the handle comes in handy after I wash them so that I can hang them up to dry.
They told me to go to the Sunbrella web page and pick out any color or pattern that I wanted. the cover has marine grade zippers so that the cover can be removed and washed.
