Default Cat C-15's 800 to 950 Hp.

We been working on a lot of Caterpillar engines lately, Here are some C-15's we have built, some new, some are rebuilds..We also have Mpd's, controls and custom harness's
This C-15 makes 875 Hp. and we have others that make up to 950 Hp. Thanks Greg Slayton, Also we add up dates to our website with new engines and packages, DeltaPerformanceMarine.com.. As always we invite everyone to visit our shop in Kingsland Ga. were are near the sub-base . ( we get some help from Ring & Yancey ) for the record.

Why is the impeller side of the turbo on this engine so much bigger than on a comparable industrial C-15? I mean, the compressor side looks the same, but the hot side is HUGE.

Awesome pics BTW. Please post more pics of these engines.

Greg,
Just curious how you are getting around the EPA requirements with these engines?

The marine turbo's blow 40 to 70% more air than stock industrial engines 450 to 550 Hp. the cold side ( compressor ) is 3.50 inches and exhaust side is 3.875 inches
Then we have a part # for a single turbo for a C-18 if we need more air....

Here is a single turbo C-18 picture

Our C-15 865 Hp meets EPA Reg's ( we use arrangement # 264-8529 to build to ) This has the ECM, injectors, valve size, turbo all matched to meet EPA Reg's ...It's like building a blown up, sunk, or fire damaged engine....The aftercooler meets Cats spec's ....We build Cat's, Cummins, and J. Deere industrial, construction equipment and supply our own designed aftercoolers, we have to meet the Mfg's cooling parameters for warranty and Epa. mainly because of space restrains.. The 950 meets a military spec, that maybe a grey area....or we just sale it as a competition engine. Here is a picture of a new industrial engine that we marinized.. with warranty and epa stickers ..

We have built and used Cat, Cummins, and J.Deere since 1984...I like the Cat engineers, the J. Deere's, we have 6125 H in the shop, I am pretty sure we can get 840 Hp. out of it...The Deere people are a good group of engine builders, just look at the tractor pulls......4500 Rpm diesels 2~3000 Hp...We keep C-13's and 15's in stock.....being neutral can get a Deere engine in a couple of days.. If we have trouble with the Cats, they do give us warranty on parts and do not ask a lot of questions, Deere on the other hand if you buy it it's yours.....I hope I answered your questions ....I try to be neutral thanks Greg

Thumbs up

We are also working on these new engines, as well as suppling commercial engines for ferry's. These pictures may help show what we start with a new engine, note some work has already been completed.

We use Performance Diesel Inc.......ECM's, injectors, fuel pumps, dyno work ect.......They have quite a following around the world.....FYI,,,,the second set of picture's the engine was dyno'd by Cat in Greenville.....And the yellow C-13 was dyno by Cat in Morton Ill.

Default C-15

Do you have contact numbers for references from the ferry boat, or any of the other users like morton salt that you mentioned. I am interested in getting their input on your engines. The input of a client is always the best testimony. Especially one with lots of hours of use on a custom engine. That would be even better than the dino results.
