I personally would opt for the Grady like the others said but a friend of mine just got his first boat. A 22' Seaswirl DC.

I have to admit, I was really impressed with what $12K can get you in the used market. Lots of deck space, a head, good sized livewell, and a 200HP DI Evinrude(BRP) under warranty until next year. You should see the fish box on that thing, it has to be nearly 6' long and over 2' deep.

It might be worth a look.

Scout's are higher quality build with more expensive fittings. Pro-line and Key West are more value oriented (I don't mean cheap). For example, I looked at the KW 225 DC - plastic thru hulls, single clamped light duty hoses, exposed screws holding the cap, plastic latches - you get the idea. The Proline 23DC is just a nice all-around set-up.

Don't limit yourself. Seaswirl,Triton, Hydra-sports, Whaler, GW, etc. - all good stuff. Just depends what balance of features/price you find important.

What about the Sea Hunt Dual Consoles? I have a quote for $29,700 for the 207LE (150HP 4-Stroke Yamaha, Passenger Lounge, Deluxe Helm Chair, Bimini Top, Ski-Tow Bar, Porta Potti, Dual Battery Switch, Trim Tabs, and Aluminum Tandem-Axle Trailer w/ Disc brakes on both axles). And $37,600 for the 220LE (200HP 4-Stroke Yamaha, Passenger Lounge, Deluxe Helm Chair, Bimini Top, Ski-Tow Bar, Porta Potti, Dual Battery Switch, and Aluminum Tandem-Axle Trailer w/ Disc brakes on both axles).

Well I will probably just keep all brands in mind. I have considered the Sea Hunt, because I did have a Sea Hunt at 1 time. Well once I get the slip/boat/lift finalized I probably will try to list my boat just to see what action I get for it.

What made you decide against looking at a Sea Hunt this time?

I haven't decided against Sea Hut, but I think Scout, Key West and Proline have a better resale value.
