Default Shurhold or Porter Cable

I'm looking at both units. Porter Cable is a quality tool company and I'm leaning towards that one. Is one really better (made) than the other? I don't need to compound, just polish and wax twice per year. Thanks!

I always thought that PC made good stuff until I purchased their 5 1/4 orbital sander. The first one lasted just over a year and thinking it was a fluke that it broke I purchased another that lasted about just as long. Thats the last power tool I'll buy from them and I didn't use them that much. Just weekend projects every now and then.

I have the Porter Cable and love it! Makes waxing a breeze.

I actually just spent part of my weekend detailing my entire boat with the Shurhold Dual action polisher. I'd read about it's promises to prevent burns and swirls, which was the appeal for me. It's lightweight so it does't kill your arms half way through the job. It's perfect for waxing and polishing so it might be your best bet. Plus it comes with a one year warrantee if you register it on Shurhold's web site. Hope this helps.
