Default Keelgard??? Any experiences good/bad?

I trailer my 2320 Parker SC to and from the water. I have managed to put several dings in the gel coat along the keel on towards the bow loading the trailer. I am looking at the Keelgard to protect the gel coat. Does anyone have any experiences good/bad? Is it easy to install? Any tips on installing (keep in mind boat is on trailer)? Which color would match the Parker gel coat color the best (cannot tell from pics in catalog)? Which length should I get should I decide to purchase? Finally, any sponsors out there carry this?

Thanks in advance

Best thing since sliced bread (or trim tabs).

It's not recommended, if the keel is sitting on a roller, to install such device.

However, it's pretty easy to install. Make sure you have everything lined up because once you start is next to impossible to remove the adhesive without damaging it. Read the directions several times, they're pretty good.

Well worth the rather high price. Haven't tried to beach a concrete ramp yet. Make sure you fix your gelcoat before installing.

Cheers,

David

Curious about the comment:

"It's not recommended, if the keel is sitting on a roller, to install such device."

Why?

Thanks

A little clarification. Don't use keel guard where it sits on the trailer after being hauled. If the Keelguard goes over rollers in the process of putting the boat on your trailer this should not be an issue. In my opinion this product is the best thing since sliced bread. I often beach my boat on "p" stone and other non-perfect areas. the damn stuff has been perfect. My last boat didn't have it and every year I needed to work on the keel.

The Keel Shield is great. For a 23 foot boat, you'll need either the 8 foot or 10 foot length.

The Keel Shield folks are great.

I have the keelguard, not the keelshield.

Great product!
