Default Suzuki warrenty?

I purchased a used WC with twin 140 Suzuki 4 strokes. The boat and motors are 11 months old. The dealer said the engines have a 3 year warrenty. I recieved the owners manual and control box installation books but nothing with regards to the warrenty. Does anyone know if I need to contact Susuki to transfer the warrenty into my name or is it logged under the engines serial number? Thanks,

Ken

If you bought it from a dealer, I'd call them and ask for the warranty card and info first.....
