I selected AWLGRIP for my boat.
AWLGRIP topcoat uses a polyester urethane resin ...........Awlcraft 2000 uses an acrylic resin.
The difference is molecular size. Quoted from AWLGRIP volume 3 brochure
"Polyester molecules are much smaller than acrylic molecules. A given volume of polyester resin contains many more molecules than the same volume of acrylic resin. Thus the polyester has more reaction sites than the acrylic. When both are fully crosslinked, the polyester forms a tighter, tougher film. The more dense crosslinking provides a harder, more abrasion resistant film, with better chemical resistance than the acrylic film".

i totally agree with you river daze. I guess it comes down to how caring for your boat you are. I suggested awlcraft 2000 due to the repairability of it whereas awlgrip can not be repaired. and on a center console there is a higher chance of things being dropped slid across the deck to mar a beautiful finish. Personally i make sure coolers, weight belts, etc are secured while running and other people allow gear to slide all over the place. you cant go wrong with either of 3 systems i mentioned above. Also to the op pick an applicator that is used to spraying the paint too.
