Default Wellcraft 250 Fisherman Vs. Proline 27' Sport

First of all let me start by saying Thank you to everyone, as I have been a member of THT for a while now and have gained a great deal of knowledge from this site. I am about to buy a new boat but would like some input on the two that I have narrowed it down to that are both local to me and within my budget. Thanks in advance for the help.

Boat 1 - 2002 Wellcraft 250 Fisherman with twin 2003 Evinrude 175's (Not Fitch)
Boat 2 - 2001 Proline 27' Sport With twin Mercury Optimax 225's
Both center console

Lets assume all options such as electronics are the same. Which boat and motor combination in your opinion would be better as far as build quality, hull design, ride and durability.

Wellcraft all the way as long as the motors are not ficht's. I believe the opti's were troublesome around that year.

Thanks 904, looks like I am back at square 1 because I went to look at the wellcraft today and the 175's are Ficht's

As tempting as it often is, I never do comparisons.
I am happy to give you information on ours though.
LOA 29'1"
Beam 9'10"
Deadrise at transom 19 degree
Fuel 200 gals
Weight, full fuel and the OPTI'S 8550 Approx
Max HP 500
Livewell 35 gals
Fishboxes 2 @ 50 gal ea
Freshwater 15 gal
We published WOT with 225 OPTI'S at 53-55 on a radar gun. We dont gaurantee speed, however when we put it in writing it's usually a pretty safe estimite.
The hull warranty was ten years. For $50.00 that structural warranty can be tranferred to you BUT it must be done within 30 days of purchase. You do that by calling (800) 344-1281 "Customer Service" Monday thru Thursday. The warranty is not a declining warranty. In other words it's not prorated. You'll have the same warranty on the structure as the day it was originally purchased.
I'm doing some traveling and am late with E's, but any addl you wish from me I'm delighted to help if I can thru this thread, a PM, or my personal mcarrigan@prolinemail.net.
We appreciate you considering a PRO-LINE.

After going to see both I think the Wellcraft is out of the question as the motors are in fact FICHT motors and the boat feels small for a 250. I have a Ranger 250c now and the boat feels much bigger. I know the Beam on the ranger is bigger but the wellcraft just feels a bit cluttered. I like the layout of the Proline much better, with the exception of a few little things, but I am not hard set on that boat just yet. I'm going to still look around a bit more. Thanks for all the help so far
