Default 1989 Hydra-Sport 22 WA Vector
Can anyone give me some feedback on the 1989 22 Vector WA w/kevlar hull. How well are they made? Kevlar vs. wood or glass? What's the ride is like? Fit and finish? Anything to look out for? Also if anyone has a original manual for this boat I could borrow and make copies of and return it to you that would be GREAT!!!!

Don't know about 1989, I have a 1998 though. The entire hull is not kevlar. It's a fiberglass hull with wood stringers and kevlar "reinforcements" in the transom, along the keel, and possibly other key places. Pretty sure the 89 will have similar contruction. My 2250 is a beast. Nice ride with a 22 degree deadrise. I know that back in 1989 Hydrasports only made 1 version of boat. None of that Seahorse or Lightning series stuff. They were all kevlar enforced "Vector" style boats even though Vector might not have been in the name. Its probably a great older boat as long as the wood is OK. The website has some older model info guides but they only go to 1992:
