We have a number of ways to configure the forward area now. This one gets a forward facing sun lounge and seating. We can build it without the lounge or the seating, add a coffin box, fish box etc or whatever combination.
Theres a cuddy and stand up head below the console and lounge. I'll post more pix later.
The oval shaped cut outs allow us to completely glass the hull and deck together while still being a two piece boat. The coaming pads will cover the openings.
Another optional feature is a zip out canvas sun roof in the hard top.
The hull material in those cut outs appear to be 3/4 of an inch thick? Is it a cored boat? I would think that would be overkill and way heavy to be solid glass? If it is cored how is the coring sealed with all those cut outs?
It's high density closed cell foam core. The foam is green and as you can see in the pics the edges are white. Although not supposed to absorb water we seal it anyway.
One cool thing I saw a long time ago, and which I would love in my CC.. is a pair of steps in the cockpit (one on each side) just aft of the console - molded into the sides of the boat with a flip up top. The step is used to make it easier to get on and off the boat, and it stores sinkers. It is hard to store sinkers in draws because they are so heavy. This has bins to separate the various sizes.
Don't you think it would be a good idea to close up all those access holes?
I understand that the bolsters will cover the holes for aesthetics, but how do you keep water from running down behind the bolsters, through the holes and into the hull?
Slick looking boat no doubt. But I'm not a fan of that swept back T-top. But I guess with modern styling it must carry through out the boat.
The modern looking swept back t-top is one of my favorite parts of the boat. The reverse arch on our boats, pose a hassle when fishing around them (though I think they look the best ascetically). A lot of t tops just look old and outdated to me. This one looks modern and seems to match the look and feel of the boat imo
