Default Fishbox hatch seals

would like to know what type of seals people have on their fishbox lids. I am not sure whether to use a neoprene type with a stick on backing or a rubber hollow tube type and glue it on so it squashes down when hatch closed...which would give better seal and which is more durable...what you guys got !!

I used the Taco stick on. I used a protractor with a sharpie to mark the hatch. I set it with the hatch up to a good setting using the lower section then ran it around the hatch on the top so the seal would sit right.

If you find something that really works (I used to use the neoprene type) feel free to let Trophy know.

The trick is to build a boat that has a deck that drains well enough to were you don't really need your fish boxes to make a perfect seal because it is dam near impossible.

...And I bet your's does...

For all the rest of us, this seal from TrimLok, X-103BT single width works pretty good...

I put pickup truck cap gaskets on my Trophy's fishboxes. Adhesive on one side and smooth rubber on the other. Very durable and just thick enough that it compresses slightly when the lid is latched down. On my boat, it made a huge difference, no water gets in from the outside now.
