I saw them and there is no view of the actual engine.. Just a view from the front of them with some crazy paint job.. I did not actually see a pic of an engine that had "400" on them, tho there is no doubt what I saw is something new..

That boat is good for 100+ MPH. I have a buddy that used to have a 25 Motion Cat with twin 225 Opties with sport master gear cases and he was clocking 90+ MPH.

thank you, I dont know what crazies think Mercury got 400hp, and even the rumor is they are XX so they are 440hp, out of that 3.0, or rather 3.2 stroker optimax

28 skaters with 300XS typically run about 110-114, I dont know what that 30 will do.

You're all wrong. Its a sleeper E-Tec 500 HP powerhead under the Optimax cowling. That cat will hit 250 MPH but nobody will think it goes over 120 until cash or pink slips are on the table

The boat is out of the water. A quick look, shows the center motors need to come up around 3 inches and the outside engines around 2 inches.

Why don't you call Caldwell racing and ask him yourself. He has not put the engine on a dyno, but he gained a 8 solid mph on a YF 24 Bay after he re-worked the 300 xs. I think he said it was bored to around 3.6 L. It may not be quite 400 hp, but I would guess around 375 or so to bring the 24 Yf into the upper 70's.

He said Mercury wanted him to send them the engine, but he wasn't interested.
