Default Opinions needed: 2001 carbed Mercury 150hp

I need some opinions regarding the reliability of these engines. I realize that they will not be nearly as fuel efficient as some other options, but I could get a good deal on this motor and reliability is 99% of my decision making process. I appreciate the help. I know the Opti's in this time frame are suspect at best.

When it comes to reliablility I'd think they rate high. They are the culmination of 20th century outboard technology. I have a 2000 90 with a ton of hours. It's been a great motor.
