Default Great Threads of the Past....

Birdie and a few others began to reminisce about the great threads of days gone by and it got me thinking about them.

Who could forget the great debates around Yamalube, Verado, E-Tec, TR-1, Luhr's, Bertram (lol), or Bayliner/Trophy/Rampage?

And of course the ever present Raymarine/Furuno/Garmin firefights.

Or maybe the ones about just keeping a legal limit of fish, even if that was more than you could eat?

What were your favorites?

The 18 yr old computer guru from Miami with the big green Lincoln and an old Hewes cuddy that he was trying to put a pair of Evinrude 235's on it. It was on and off and on and off and they all left in a huff and started their own website and 250 Osprey got banned for sticking up for them and giving the website link....page after page of......

"The Big Race"

involved someone with a F******N, and then another party that allegedly photo-shopped some pictures making it seem like they had a boat that was legitimate competition

That was all just too funny

Just think if the thread was actually spoken conversation....I"ll bet you LOL at the thought.

That might have been the name of it, I still smile when I think of that guy's face as the bow of the Bayliner came over his gunnel.

Depends on what you mean by great? Entertainment or information? If content counts then heres what I think.
There were some great build and project threads last year. The big Yellowfin build is at the top of my short list. The 40' Freeman thread should also get mentioned.
The original thread about the football players was as close to being civil as this board could be and likely reulted in many upgrading their safety equipment and changing their anchor retrieving tactics. How many breakaway rigged their anchors after that?
Auguste's searching for a new boat...multiple threads.
Anything I posted.
