Default Rosborough

Any one have any real life experience with Rosborough boats? I've got my eye on a 24' 6" sedan cruiser w/ a 120hp Mercruiser diesal & Apha 1. Apparantly sips the fuel at 2-3gph. Very stable ride. Spartan but nice amenities. Any and all comments welcome.
(Yes, I've searched the THT archives...not much to speak of)

Thanx in advance

My in-laws have a 246 Rosborough. He's a pretty handy guy so it has some great aftermarket add-ons that make it like a second home. But as far as the boat goes, decent ride- all 12 knots of it. He has twin 90hp four strokes, the thing hardly uses fuel, great overnighter, tracks great, gets caught in the wind so is a little hard around the docks but good on a straight line cruise. They are taking it from Falmouth to Maine next month so they will have better opinions then.
Pretty unique boat, don't see a whole lot of them.

I too have looked at Rosborough boats. They are pocket trawlers that can be trailered. I would think they're good for two but a bit tight for any more. Yahoo has a users site with tons of info and you could talk it up with owners there. Go to Yahoo and search "Rosborough". Good luck...BigGrin

have a neighbor that owns one and loves it . ive been aboard but never for a ride. looks like a very well built boat. the only concern i had was his had a 150 hpdi and when standing at the stern in the slip water came in the scuppers. he had the ping pong ball type stoppers over the outside of the scuppers but they didnt seat well and allowed the water to come in. on his boat the scuppers seemed to be only slightly above the water line.
