I am repowering my WA that currently has a Seadrive (Lucky me!). I am going to replace it with a new f-150 and a bracket with a swim step/platform. Armstrong will make one as wide as my transom. We do a lot of freediving and I would also use it for mounting a small removalable bait tank. This big platform sounds like a nice useful addition to my small boat.
Are there any downsides to having a big platform off of the stern

I didn't know if he used a slip or trailer.
As for a red flag (or whatever), we have the RV Nazis around where I live looking to tag anything more than 30 inches (approximate) past the tail lights.
Some obscure BS law.

The platform 'ain't gonna stick out past the engine.
