Default seacraft or albemare

I am looking to buy a 23-25 center console off shore tuna fishing boat, and have heard good things about both. Which is a better ride.

If you find a good 23 Seacraft make the purchase, if the better deal is a 24 Albemare make the purchase, now if you find a even better deal on a 25 Seacraft well you know the answer. All 3 are good boats but do your research on the Seacraft and what year you are looking at. 1986-----> and newer do your homework.

Tough to say. They are both the best of the best. The Seacraft has the famous variable degree deadrise and the Albermarle is a copy of the 233 formula hull with a 24 degree deadrise. Hopefully someone that has ridden in both can shine in.

me too, never riden in an Alby but if its a straight 24' it would eat some water but damn near pitch you out at drift or troll - thats why Mr Moesly did what he did - just say'in

Carl and SeaCraft were very famous in offshore racing circlkes so he knew all about big deep vee's and theit advantages and disadvantages

Just read the poster below before I edited - not sure what he means by fixer upper - there are Potter hulls from '70 to '80 that are super sweet and the new ones you can just go look for yourself - the owners themselves don't seem to complain and then finally come and defend their boats. Maybe the poster could find one thread where an actual owner had a complaint in the last say 5 yrs I'd be interested.

If your looking for a fixer upper Get a Seacraft if looking at newer get an Albemarle. Most seacrafts are Outboards and most Albes are IO's. Newer Seacrafts have poor reputation for fit and finish, and Albemarle has a good rep for quality.
