Default Looking for boat recommentation

I've been lurking here for a little while and starting to look at joining the boating family.

I'm wondering if anyone here can recommend various lines of boats that I should be looking at that could meet the following criteria:

- mainly (exclusively?) freshwater lake use
- support a mix of fishing (freshwater striper fishing and a little bass or other) as well as "family fun" (crusing, skiing, tubing)
- be in the $30K - upper $40K range
-

I've been looking at the the center console deck boats from Hurricane, Vectra, Starcraft and Tahoe - seem to be a good mix of what we'd want and in the right price range. Are there others that I should be looking at? Are there any "traditional" center console fishing boat vendors that make something with "family fun" abliities?

thanks in advance....

A lot of people have found the double console design to be the most versitile, as far as crusiing , skiing, fishing, etc. I think some of them can do the "transformer" thing and become virtual bay/bass boats. At the same time, they offer better protection, plenty of seating, and an ideal viewpoint for a ski observer.

It seems to me, I always see the driver on a DC sitting. I'm not sure why, perhaps the wheel is mounted lower. Key West makes a nice 22 that is within your budget.

Default Sea Ray

Sea Ray pretty much rules the Deckboat market. They have the #1 resale value as well.
